THE MYTH BEHIND THE AFRICAN STAR APPLE

It was a cool evening and Chuks decided to lure his wife out for an evening work. It's that time of the year when people travel back to their homeland to visit family members and friends they haven't seen for a very long time.

 It is majorly a period of rest. Chuks and Nneoma been a young Igbo couple a tribe in Nigeria West Africa went all out to explore everything their eyes and hands could lay hold of...it wasn't long until they approached hold woman carrying a full basket of Star apple. Chuks was enthusiastic to see those Star Apples and so was Nneoma, they agreed its been almost a decade they had it last and so they decided to do justice to the fruit by buying all from the woman. 
     
 They decided to taste and eat some while on their way back to the house. Chucks resorted to splitting and eating one, confirmed its sweetness and was about to hand over the remaining half to his dear wife when someone out of the blue hit and pushed Chuks hand, this resulted to the fall of the Star apple to the ground.
        He was about to rage when he made it back to reality only to realize that he had been in a deep dream!. Chuks didn't struggle for this awful dream to be interpreted to him...it was just evident that for so many years whenever he had this type of dream, his wife takes in and in few months time miscarries.

STAR APPLES has a spiritual significance to fertility and babies but also a lot of health benefits associated with it. The star apple fruit as well as its leaf has numerous health benefits, no part of it is a waste. 

Its the season of Star apple, so enjoy it all through January to April while it last.
